Thank you NBA-dot-com for copy-pasting LeBron's un-proofread tweet that "Northeast Ohio will always home!"

Fry: You know the worst part about being a slave? They make you work but they don't pay you or let you go.

Leela: That's the ONLY part about being a slave!
What's a Futurama line that lives forever in your head?

Mine is, "Oh, a lesson in not changing history from Mr. I'm My Own Grandpa."

I spent more time on this piece than almost anything else I've written in the last year. Building a better, more decentralized internet is an inherent necessity if you want a functioning democracy.

I hope people find it a useful encapsulation of where we're at.

It’s not about whether technology is inherently good or bad, liberating or oppressive. Architecture shapes incentives; incentives shape outcomes.

Sunrise's scope creep accelerated to a scope sprint after George Floyd's death, and they've never looked back since.
the proof of global warming being dead as a political movement in the US is that NGOs ostensibly about climate environmentalism hardly devote any time to it anymore. They just become omnicause
lmao these wreckers can fuck all the way off. posted right after Kim got pepper sprayed on the front lines.

This Mom spent $12 on a bespoke Starbucks drink in a last-ditch attempt to stave off crippling depression. Should her kids really have free access to public education?
Boy, what a terrible headline.

We *need* the wealthy to participate in public services. If only poor people ride the bus, then rich people won't wield their power in support of public transit or, worse, will wield their power *against* it.

I'd like it if Word didn't hang for 20 seconds when I switch a blank document from portrait to landscape.
I'd like it if Outlook didn't crash when I am scrolling through an email.

The entire Democratic strategy debate — "moderate" or move left? fight or compromise? — is based on a misreading of data. Voters don't think Dems are too progressive; they think Dems are weak. The actual math on what to do about this isn't even close!

Yes we can and MAGA are positive aspirational platitudes.

Lock her up was targeted at one individual.

Defund the police estranges ~ a million law enforcement officers & their families throughout the country, many of whom believe (rightly or wrongly) that they serve their community with integrity.
I’m not going to get into this again but the defund the police critique remains complete bullshit

yes we can was nonspecific

lock her up doesn’t lay out why or for what

make america great again couldn’t be less specific

this critique is pure reactionary nonsense filtered through pundits
One thing to add: Democrats really shouldn’t fear to be anti-ICE. It’s specific, unlike “defund the police.”

If asked, say “Of course I support enforcing the law. ICE isn’t doing that. They’re breaking laws—really important laws, like the Bill of Rights—not enforcing them, which why I oppose ICE.”

Who would've guessed art can resonate more strongly with regular people than ideological screeds and manifestos 🤔
Andor is better at getting the average American out in the street than Marx or Lenin and it pisses off the dumbest people imaginable.
