i set siri to canadian english and it turned off all apple intelligence system-wide. only downside is siri uses candian spellings now. hopefully there’s a way to turn intelligence off while still using the correct language at some point.

It still somehow had the capacity to shock me when the president & VP just openly boast that we are using military force to steal the resources of other countries. They evidently assume the general public will not consider this shameful & appalling. We’ve sunk very low indeed if that’s true.

You can see the window title change well before the content updates. There’s a noticeable lag when clicking things.
If I had a React behaving this way I would fix it. But this is a “native” app that comes built-in on the Mac. This is horrible and reflects poorly on the state of Apple’s software.

i pasted some text into TextEdit on my mac and it tried to give the document a title based on an ai summary of what i had pasted.
i do not want this but i see no way to turn it off. i hate ai so much dude. i wish this obnoxious, disgusting technology never existed.

What I think is interesting is that now there’s this new form factor on iOS that apparently will just have to be supported forever, right?
Like, if the Duo flops and foldables stop selling, are devs and Apple expected to keep supporting it? Will some iOS version eventually not support it?

Less than an hour between me reporting a post and Threads saying it doesn’t violate their standard. The post in question simply said “shut up jew. this is why everyone hates you.” Threads apparently finds this to be an OK post!

27.2 does not fix the Mac Mail issue where it doesn’t remember the window size after you close it. This is the bug introduced in 27.0 and then backported to 26 because they wanted more people to enjoy it.

I don’t know which is dumber: the fact that Piers Morgan had “Tilly Norwood” on his show for an “interview” or the fact that it misunderstood a simple question, started speaking Cantonese in the middle of the interview, and then thought it had impersonated Piers within the space of 90 seconds.

It does have some small dings and dents from drops, and the back glass is sticking out of the frame slightly on one corner, but I’m not sure it would justify a claim.
