Had an earnest Labour campaigner at the door yesterday. I explained that due to Labour’s attitude on immigration/trans rights I couldn’t possibly vote for them. He asked me to explain this + said they (locally) were v supportive of trans rights. This talking the talk felt very indicative of Labour.

When Helen Joyce made the gender critical aims explicit, I thought finally the media & those apparently pro equality and solidarity would see the fight. They didn’t care. Now we’re here - an unstoppable, unapologetic, bigoted media class who laugh at someone’s suicide, with 0 consequences to them.

I have become completely obsessed with #7daystodie. I haven’t really clicked with survival games before but this does it so well. There’s great tension between the main game loops and so much agency to how you play every part of it. Always tense and often terrifying.

lol, funny memory of a friend/ex-dev predicting 2 decades ago, that the games industry would have the same cycle as ‘concept rock to punk music’.
Expensive/indulgent/detached to authentic/paired back/low barrier to entry.
