I cannot comprehend why so many Christians are willing to twist their theology into knots in order to defend the gathering of wealth and demonization of the poor. It has never made sense to me. Even when I was diehard SBC.

Can we please end this false narrative that Jesus spoke on hell a ton and that it was a central part of his ministry. It’s been proven false over and over. Why can’t this harmful idea just die already.

It’s interesting how when we talk the teachings of Jesus with nonUS Christians, or those that lived outside of white US contexts, the conversations are much more rich and collaborative and celebratory, then the seemingly ever argumentative state of white US Christian contexts…

The common denominator between those bashing the Catholic Church and bashing Muslims right now, is that the ones doing the bashing don’t understand the beliefs of those they are attacking at all, and most have no desire to learn either.

I don’t think we have talked enough about how the persecution complex in the US has dulled our discernment. So many Christians get excited the moment they see any resemblance of something that claims to be Christian, that they ignore the reality of what is really happening.
