When Stirling is the subject of a quiz on @bbcradio2bot.bsky.social and you’ve not only lived there but writing about it was once your day job ✨. 5/5 - one of the answers was pizza crunch!

Might start a tally of how many people say ‘you’ve got your hands full’ when I’m out with a baby and two dogs.

Tarty treat box anyone?

When the dad from up the road gives me a ‘well done’ for returning from a walk with a baby and two dogs when he’s got six kids, including a toddler, with him, it feels a bit condescending. I think he was genuinely trying to be nice though.

I’m not really fussy about my appearance, or bothered by much of a skincare routine, but from now on I’m going to have to get more careful about applying moisturiser and suncream to my neck and chest if I don’t want them to look about 60.

Driving my children home yesterday we got stuck behind a car for ages that had the drivers window open so she could puff on a vape. We got all the fruity air in coming into our car. Gross 🤢

So #LastNightIDreamt that I was meeting up with my friends for cake in a dated shopping centre with 70s carpets. We impressed a server with details of the travels of one of our history loving friends. Then I went to an art history tour where there was cherished art school graffiti.
He was back last night! #LastNightIDreamt that he had buffed up. We were at a gig and I think school age and he was, for some reason, encouraging me to get with a mutual friend instead. Perhaps because of the wife?
I met up with a friend at the weekend and it came up in conversation that a few years ago our mutual friend from school (who also happens to be my boyfriend in my dreams at night) got in touch. He is happily married with a kid - so in my dream last night I met his wife and child at an exhibition.

Super sad that my child’s favourite thing to do at the beach now is hunting plastic nurdles. He always gets a handful of them 😕

Round of applause for the women who see me in a fluster as I’m feeding or changing my baby and comment positively about him, or just chat to me and acknowledge our existence.

My son consumes comics (mainly the Beano) so much that when he thinks something is lame he just says ‘groan’ instead of making a groaning noise.

Just when I’m thinking that I’d like to be able to outsource dealing with nits, it turns out that my seven year old son loves running a comb through his own hair, and has knack for pinpointing and catching lice 🤢

BREAKING 🚨: reports suggest Andy Burnham could approve new oil and gas fields, including Rosebank.

Is he REALLY going to cave into the demands of the profiteering oil giants and Trump?

Or is he going to stand with people facing soaring bills and a worsening climate crisis?

Thought I was listening to 90s period piece on radio sounds, casually referencing phone lines where only one person could call people at a time, and 1471, but I just realised the whole thing sounded old fashioned and the characters were all very samey and realised it was originally broadcast in 98.

At the point where ‘sleep when the baby sleeps’ really falls apart because the baby only stays asleep in your arms.

My husband kept my son up late watching a film and then informed him that they’d be having a lie in and not to be up until after 8, and it worked and I had no idea you could make this arrangement with a 7 year old. No one told the dogs though, and the baby didn’t get the memo.

I’m bored of podcast so I’m working through audiobooks and dramas on bbc sounds during night feeds. Just finished our friends in the north, and enjoyed it. Vague recollections of it being on tv when I was
a kid and supposed to be in bed. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

The baby had me up just in time to see the nd of the football. Not a fan but quite pleased I saw it and will always know where I was when Scotland won again.

While my husband is on paternity leave it is possible to occasionally sleep when the baby sleeps. The issue is when you wake when the baby wakes and both of you are hungry, thirsty, need the loo and are grumpy at the same time.

Very pleased to say that, as the postnatal swelling goes down, I do indeed still have ankles.

Now there are two boys, a man and two males dogs in my family (I had a baby the other day!) I’m pretty sure this is the point where all their rather traditional names become interchangeable. They sound like a story book gang from the fifties.

Rose appears to go very quickly from saying she’s not sure they should dance to suggesting she be a life model. #Titanic
