Went out for lunch today. As with many restaurants, the rolled-up napkin was secured with a sticky paper. My husband and I often exchanged “rings” with these, laughing and talking over lunch. He’s been gone for over three years, but sometimes little moments surprise you. It’s just the way of grief.

As Christians, we should never become numb to cruelty and corruption. We should not close our eyes to it or say it’s OK because we are just working toward a greater good. Jesus has shown us a better, more faithful way. It’s that simple and that hard.
