I'm just a poor wayfaring stranger
I suspected from the way he flashed the poster for half a second and then tried to move on he knew his claims about Jack Smith at a Hawks game were BS. But truth doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is selling the narrative. I guarantee a lot of MAGA still believes Smith was at that game.
BREAKING: MS NOW EXCLUSIVE.

Republican Eric Schmitt was warned about the Jack Smith texts. He used them anyway.

GOP Judiciary staff told Schmitt the texts — obtained from the Trump DOJ — were "unvetted." Schmitt still used them.

As Republicans on Capitol Hill try to figure out how Eric Schmitt’s bombshell fell apart so embarrassingly, it turns out he was warned that the texts were unvetted.

The Eric Schmitt thing is very funny, but there is also zero chance that MAGA doesn't continue to believe that Jack Smith really was at a Hawks game in Atlanta and that proves he was colluding with Fani Willis. If facts could change their minds they wouldn't be three-time Trump voters.

I think that's pretty much expected behavior for Trump, but what really boggles the mind is how his supporters will join him in defending the J6 rioters while simultaneously claiming to "back the blue."

I was today years old when I learned that Key and Peele were in Weird Al's music video for "White and Nerdy." They weren't as famous back then and I didn't know who they were. Saw a clip of that video today in an ad for Al's upcoming tour and was like whaaaattt?!?

So much going on in this photo. Trump making what I can only assume is meant to be a smile but which actually looks like a pained grimace. Melania standing behind him with her characteristic expression that says she'd rather be anywhere else. Xi looking like he's just so weary of all this bullshit.
A real image. Amazing. A gift from the Meme heavens.

This is the essence of "pro-business" conservatism: trusting that corporations whose chief aim is to make a profit will do the right thing on their own. The only time that ever happens is when doing the right thing happens to coincide with doing the profitable thing. Otherwise, you're SOL.
I think @darrigomelanie.bsky.social said everything that needs to be said.

Some people want you to believe that this guy hates Jews, but that's because they actually hate Muslims.

I've been a fan of LeBron for basically his entire career. I think a case can be made that he is the greatest individual player to ever play professional basketball. So I'm not just a hater looking for another excuse to hate when I say that this is some bullshit.

A lot of Protestants, including the tradition I come from, love to hate on the pope and the Catholic Church because of "sola scriptura," but you won't hear them proclaiming this part of Scripture.

I don't keep up much with what goes on in the evangelical world since I left Twitter (and honestly I'm happier for it) but this seems extreme even for Mohler. Guy threw in with Trump and cooked his brain for real.

Two thoughts: first, has anyone heard Mitch speak yet? Curious to know if he's verbal or not. Second, will all of the lefty conspiracy theorists now admit that he was alive this whole time? No, they'll just say it's a body double or some other absurd nonsense.

Legitimately one of the best comics of all time. So many applications.
It was exactly ten years ago today, on my 33rd birthday, that I posted this comic online.

You know, remembering this is actually a small bit comforting, because after all the nonsense that went on with the Iraq war, at least this particular kind of idiocy was short-lived. They're still called French fries today. Just like someday soon it will be Lake Ontario and the Gulf of Mexico again.

I am not the kind of person who mocks the death of others, but I also believe strongly that if you want people to remember you fondly in death, you should live your life accordingly. Also, perhaps don't have a well-established track record of dismissiveness toward other people's deaths.

I actually hate it when liberal or progressive politicians resort to these "no u" insults. It's bad enough that modern conservatives have framed masculinity with this ridiculous "alpha/beta" crap. 1/2

Hard to think of a better illustration of just how bad AI is for society than the slop that the US president regularly posts to his social media feed, especially when it's in the service of promoting his regime's reality-disconnected propaganda.
