I dont think younger people realize just how massively popular and culturally significant the Lord of the Rings books were in the 1970s in the USA. Millenials experienced but a fraction of this when the Peter Jackson trilogy released.

social media is not "just wanting to communicate with your friends". And Taylor knows it. This is a deliberate denial of basic reality, and a large body of science on how algorithmic social media can harm kids in particular.

i’ve actually lost count of how many times i’ve had to frog this whole thing and start over due to some catastrophic error or a hole i couldn’t fix or live with, but we persevere
