How strange it is to be anything at all.
I’ve always thought Will Stancil was a prick.
“I’ve always thought this way” says the guy who, 18 months ago, would have found this thinking completely alien

None of us want to be in your fucking tent dude.
to be very blunt, there are a lot more of us than there are of you and while most of us are happy to let you inside the tent, it's highly unlikely you'll seize it by force

I look forward to the future where politicians who support genocide can’t go outside without being mercilessly mocked for doing so.
I look forward to the future where Scott Weiner helps win these miserable losers stronger rights and better housing, and they continue to be miserable, because you can’t legislate away the part where they’re losers

really unfortunate that people—less and less, I hope—continue to take this conspiracy theorist loon seriously
THERE IS SOMETHING GOING ON HERE THAT WE CANNOT EXPLAIN.

The economy is not in a recession. The economy is not worse than 2020 or 2008 or 1979. Whatever is happening here, it cannot be plausibly attributed to people’s real lived experiences. There is some other factor causing this collapse.
We have *never* before seen consumer sentiment this low.

Well at least we now know what losing campaigns think of non voters.
I’ve run campaigns and worked on campaigns. If you don’t vote, do you know how much we worry about what you think? Zilch. Zero. We don’t waste money contacting you, knocking your door, trying to figure out what you want. You’re a political nullity, triaged away in favor of consistent voters.

Press will get Will Stancil press coverage.
MANY reasons to allow press:
-if you ban them they'll sneak in, which is worse
-a press policy lets you set ground rules for preserving anonymity of people who want it
-press keep us safe! a commuter with a journalist as a passenger is less likely to get attacked
-press show the world how bad ICE is

It speaks to the criminal nature of Democrats that most of the evil fuckers who armed and funded the Saudi genocide against Sudan under Obama were rehired to arm and fund the genocide in Gaza under Biden.
it speaks to the criminal nature of Trump 2.0 that nobody close to him is ever actually fired because it's too risky for them to be fully on the outside. Instead, they get reassigned to cushy fake jobs to keep them onside.

Will Stancil outspent his opponent and still lost and came to the conclusion that money in politics isn’t important.

The other conclusion would have been that no amount of money would make people like him.

If a candidate came to you they’d be asking for advice about how to lose.
If a candidate came to me with this idea I’d strongly recommend against it because I wouldn’t want to gamble that a compliance screwup would send the candidate or their treasurer to jail. This isn’t just some theoretical, minor risk.

To believe this shit that Bill Pencil is spreading you would have to believe that it’s just a funny coincidence that the same people taking millions of dollars from AIPAC also happen to suddenly be OK with burning children alive in their hospital beds.

Yeah! That would be like taking money from AIPAC and NOT using it to support genocide.
It’s not about her own qualities as a person. It’s that you aren’t allowed to raise funds for one purpose and then spend them for another.

The internet is fine but nothing will ever be as cool as riding your bike to the library and printing out some microfiche to be able to prove to your sister that there were two Darren’s on bewitched.

You mean the same thing Edward Snowden exposed them for doing back in 2013?
AOC: Companies like Palantir are mining endlessly the data and privacy of the American people—keeping track of everything that they say and do. And sending it to a militarized government.

The last time I remember Americans voting for a candidate because they actually liked the guy was in 2008 and after that debacle they seem to have decided never to do it again. These days it’s just one hatefuck election after another where voters vote against the other party.

Will forgot one important thing the internet brought us:

Keyboard dweebs who look to antagonize people for the clicks they get in response.
This is just the median Gen Z man, though. The internet brought back measles, Creed, antisemitism
March 25, 2026 at 11:52 AM
You call people who disagree with you antisemites but it’s other people who are the bullies.
I think about these things and I care about them. Couldn’t possibly matter to the massive community on this site who logs on every day looking for their latest hit of cheap, easy rage at some agreed-upon enemy. Once you’re a permitted abuse target nothing you say or do matters anymore
March 24, 2026 at 10:14 PM
I’m gonna keep being wrong because otherwise I’d have to admit I was wrong and stop being wrong.
I have thought about what I think about this and I’m not going to change it because a bunch of bullies ordered me to

Will LITERALLY defends candidates taking money from AIPAC to look the other way at all of this and make sure the US continues to arm and fund the atrocities.
And it’s frustrating because it means people who broadly agree that Israel has become a mad dog of a nation-state, out of control, killing countless people with no regard for the laws of morality or of nations, are attacked because they won’t say the codeword.
