In 5 days, it will be my birthday! Woo-hoo!
I wanted to make a post like this when my birthday was a week away, but I, didn’t realize just how close my birthday was until yesterday. Time… sure does fly, haha! Quickly…
…aaaanywho! Don’t think I’ll do much anything publicly for it… but, it’s soon!!!

Okay so I DID manage to release Toad Dies 8, The Great (or at least pretty good), on a Thursday, but I waited until I finished the description to make a post advertising it here.
I’ve been tired the past few days, so, there may be less energy in this post than usual. May be less active! Thank you!!

Lots of hard-hitting questions in this one! Made me evaluate some things, haha.
I took this quiz yesterday, and I was initially super upset that I didn’t get kindness in my top 2 because I pride myself on trying to be as kind as I can… but. Now I just feel… happy. Integrity’s a good quality, right?

Seven Toadally! Toadally Seven!
Okay, so… WAIT there’s a new Trinity Saga page that came out I just realized that. I didn’t read it yet. I’ll do that right after this.
Anyway! Uhh… I really loved writing the description for this one! It sits in the top 3 Toad Dies in my opinion, pretty good. Yerp!

Man (gender-neutral), this new security system is off the charts! These laser not only detect movement, but they also leave a marking on you similar to a long cut so people can identify you were involved in any break-ins.
These are what we in the tech business call, razor beams.

A g-razor!

OKAY so I’m technically a day late but technicallllyyyyyy in SOME timezones this came out on Thursday. So. Whoopsie.
Anyway, uh, Toad Dies 6! What tricks, what kicks, what’s new to the mix? I guess there’s only one way to find out! By watching the video! Or, asking someone who did, watch the video.

i thought turkish delights would be a more-gelatinous jelly that was sweet and maybe milky (slightly firmer than jello but not gummy firm) so when i had them for the first time i was let down... but it just makes me want to make my own version more

Toad Dies 5 Is Here To Thrive! (Five Named Clive. This is a reference to a Diary Of A Wimpy Kid panel.)
Despite its flaws, Toad Dies 5 is one I’ve become rather fond of over the course of uploading it. It’s very simple, but I think that aids it in its charm rather than mitigate it… ala Toad Dies 2.

Toad Dies 4, Amore, For Your Viewing Pleasore!
This is probably my favorite Toad Dies thus far; I really enjoyed not only how it all came out (albeit, I don’t remember the exact process TOO clearly, on account of making it 6 years ago), but also explaining why I liked it in the description as well!

After another year of adequate length… and ten days, because of my forgetfulness… Toad is back. And this time? He dies.
I know he… dies all the other times, too, but, come on! It’s a trilogy now!
As the creator, I must admit that it seem an underwhelming addition at a glance… but give it a chance.

I hope those load bearing followers know how much they mean to artists. Regulars, esp regular commenters that engage your work and story do not go without notice and are to be cherished. It's esp why I try to reply to let them know! (and why I wish I could keep track of any I've missed replying to )
Fun story and potential tip for artists: find a load boarding follower or two.
When my account was brand new and less than 10 people knew I existed I had one follower who would like almost every piece I made. I appreciated his support so much that my partner knew his screenname- 🧵

I just realized… what does it say about me that I know what everything on the left is, but know literally nothing about the movies on the right?
I can’t think of a comedic takeaway to make here I just think such a prospect is somewhat humorous.

Happy #makeaterriblecomicday, everyone! Looks like my artistry will be the cure to what ails ya! Or should I say… what SNAILS ya? Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! It’s funny because I added two letters to the beginning of ”ails” which forms a word noticeably kinda sorta mostly related to the comic at hand.
Neat!
Neat!
![Panel 1: “Isn’t it funny? Well, not “funny, per se, but interesting. The circumstances of where we are. That so much hate can exist in the world, but we can CHOOSE to be kind. To smile. To say “hey’, and make someone’s day brighter.”
Panel 2: “I exist. My colors go outside the lines, and my lines themself are imperfect. But I can still feel. Make others feel. Without perfection. And what does perfection mean, if there is so much beauty in imperfection? To diverge from a given path, when done for yourself rather than the sake of it, is a wonderful thing. Why be normal when to be weird is so… unique. Different. Special. [Special is underlined.] Does my design make sense? Not especially. I’m an orange amalgamation with an “M” for an eye and a stem before my head. But I am not incomprehensible. I can be recognized, no matter how bizarre. And I find that wonderful.”
Panel 3: “For even an amateurish silhouette to convey my being, I must be doing SOMETHING right. Or… maybe something wrong. After all, if everything were combinations and permutations of perfect shapes, art would stand out all the less, wouldn’t it? Or at least be less freeing. But what is freedom, really? Is it the ability to choose your own choices? In a sense, yes. But I think there’s more to it than that. If you “make your own choices”, but are bound to the structure of your self-defined framework, would that not be true freedom? Maybe nothing matters. But if nothing matters, we can choose to do what makes us happy. Engage with those who make us happy. Friends, and family, and loved ones… and everyone else we love and care about. Appreciating those around you, and yourself, is freedom in my eyes. Saccharine? Perhaps. But if to love is to be trapped, then I don’t want to be free.”
Panel 4: “And I think that’s beautiful. Don’t you?”
Panel 5: A crudely drawn snail.
Panel 6: “Hoho, don’t give me THAT look! YOU’RE the one who said this was a good idea! (Or, wait, snails can’t talk… hold on a minute…)”](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:vxxno5jb5dj62zvqzmq5p3ck/bafkreicg6qeu6twppvby4hani2we6clb27lzjyoy5rswumbcm77iid6rse)

Update for my #emmytherobot #vn / #visualnovel on #scratch! Emmy’s got a redesign, everyone! Not necessarily to be more comic-accurate, though that did factor in, but to look more… clean. Polished. Like a nandroid would be!
Took a, uh… around year-long break. Whoops. Hopefully you all haven’t gone.
