Let’s not forget what Ursula K. Le Guin had to say about JKR and Harry Potter.
![Remember when Ursula K. Le Guin savaged J.K. Rowling in a 2004 Guardian interview?
“I have no great opinion of [JK Rowling’s writing style]. When so many adult critics were carrying on about the “incredible originality” of the first Harry Potter book, I read it to find out what the fuss was about, and remained somewhat puzzled; it seemed a lively kid’s fantasy crossed with a ‘school novel’, good fare for its age group, but stylistically ordinary, imaginatively derivative, and ethically rather mean-spirited.”](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:aq5ehloxmqczfgco7s24ffy3/bafkreibykzxxk3i7tnxamgyvwsevx644uivhhsn4dujlzg2ybealjaimf4)

The fact that even during these dire times, the "popular with friends" segment is filled with wholesome kinky stuff confirms to me that the world is still ok and I have the correct friends.

Potentially screaming into the void or summoning some commission bots but does someone happen to know a EU-centric MtG alter artist w/ open commissions? Simple googling gets you only so far so I'd rather go with people that are trusted within the community #mtgalters
