softly, echoing.

every year, i paint something for my mom. this is this year's. i wish that i could talk to her. i wonder how close we would be. i would like to bake a cake for her - although she was a really great cook and baker so idk lmao

#moonchu #art #originalart
photo depicts original painting by moonchu in vertical orientation. it's an ocean painting, with the sky gradiented in a soft blue purple to orange to pink. similarly coloured clouds float within the middle-bottom of the painting, as the horizon meets the pastel pink-purple ocean. two telephone poles are visible, one very close in the foreground and one very far away. water spills out onto some steps near the foreground telephone pole. a small crescent moon hangs way out in distant sky, towards the upper left. some orchid flowers, paint pans, a crystal, and markers hang out around the painting for the flatlay. a melancholy pastel painting exploring grief and loss - although it really doesn't look like it lmao close up of aforementioned painting of the crescent moon, and my cat ember's little paw resting on top of it. the sun is streaming through the window and the pane linings make shadows upon the image.

#moonchu #traditionalart #yearofthehorse #yearofthehorse2026
flatlay photo showcasing an original painting by moonchu with predominate shades of deep reds/magentas, illustrating a leaping horse with a tilted head. a very strongly stubborn and passionate horse! as indicated by the yellow-orange-red illuminated bursts of fire surrounding it. it appears to be floating in space somewhere. a golden constellation faintly sparkles within the body of the horse. an elaborate gold gilded filigree borders the painting. the rest of the flatlay is on a white background with random objects like magenta string and small scissors. paintbrush, inital horse sketch, in-progress horse painting, and colour swatches.
