A space race and home baked bread. What a weekend!

YouTube titles and thumbnails have been getting louder for years.

The dial has been turned so high, even the most innocuous channels have started to represent parody accounts.

Today was my first play of Imperium Horizons (which I photographed for Osprey Games back when it was released).

A very good reminder to at least skim the keywords for a deck builder before jumping in to avoid lots of rules checks!

Seems fun though, looking forward to trying it again soon.

Recommendations wanted. Looking for men's clothing that isn't boring as shit. If I see any more beige and grey I'll scream.

Not gonna lie, three years of gaming with my best friend has been pretty sweet, even if she usually kicks my butt.

Just passed 300 sessions at the gym since 2023.

If I've learned anything in that time, it's to focus on long term goals like overall health and wellbeing versus short term vanity metrics.

If you apply this simple logic in to life in general you'll probably live a longer, happier one.

People want a silver bullet answer.

Rather than focus on social media, a more general answer is that someone spent years, YEARS, grinding away without much success, before they became even remotely successful.

And that's a hard truth to hear.
I'm not saying this place or any other is vital to your success as a designer but i think its a mistake to pretend like social connection and social clout and the sort of networking we do here is valueless in terms of sales or reach. Much of my success stems from fucking around online

Every week I get messages from strangers barely introducing themselves then immediately asking me for free labour.

Promote your game on my accounts. Free photography. Write lists of publishers who would sign your game. Video chat to give marketing advice.

I literally don't know you and I'm tired.

After over 8 years working in the tabletop industry here's the main lesson.

Effort, talent and care do not reflect commercial success.

This industry is filled with passionate humans creating beautiful things too easily missed.

So much respect for all the makers out there trying to find a way.

After months of being genuinely too busy with work for anything else I'm dipping back into some video gaming.

Tonight's treat? Citizen Sleeper. An RPG I've wanted to try for a long time.

I've not edited video in a long long time, and let me tell you, starting again by editing 5 hours of Actual Play RPG footage was one heck of a jump back in.

The Ghost in the Shell RPG, based on the original manga, has just gone live on Backerkit.

I co-wrote and co-designed this game alongside Alessio.

I’ve seen quite a bit of buzz around the Synthesis Conflict system which is really great as that was one of my main contributions 😄

At work, I jokingly described preparing for a crowdfunding launch like being slowly crushed alive by slowly growing pressure. This Tuesday, I get to see if my efforts turn me into a diamond or if I'm more of an oil drum sorta guy.

People are always talking about the things we have today that our ancestors didn't, but nobody wants to look at the things our ancestors had that we've lost. Like community, and free time, and environmental sustainability, and a collective that cares whether we live or die
