Ungodly heat and humidity, yes but some beautiful flowers on my morning walk and stroll through my lovely garden, all to paint later in my cool studio. I can live with that!

They were just forced to put down on 4 1/2 year-old black Russian terrier couple of weeks ago. Just got his ashes today. Gutted again.

Scrolling down here, there and everywhere, it’s clear the strikers on Iran were successful: no one is talking about the Epstein files and Trump’s involvement.

@karaswisher.bsky.social re: buying without Amazon during tariffs - depending on the goods, consider buying used items on resale platforms eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop and local thrift stores. Lots out there!

Calm despite the current administration shitshow and likelihood that measles and other diseases may breakthrough the herd. I’m in this state because I realize Trump and all are the best advertisement for a cognizant people seeking transparency, decency and humanity in their government leadership.

Republicans Plan to Skirt Senate Rules to Push Through More Tax Cuts
G.O.P. leaders are planning to use the “nuclear option” to steer around the Senate’s in-house referee and allow the use of a gimmick that makes trillions of dollars in tax cuts appear to be free.

It's not a bad idea to go to the local Walmart or big box retailer and buy lots of consumables now. From toothpaste to soap, anything you can find storage space for, buy before they have to replenish inventory.

Even if it's made in the USA , they will jack up the price and blame it on tariffs.

If you were really looking for fraud at SSA, you wouldn’t need write access. You WOULD need write access if you wanted to CREATE fraud where none existed as a pretext to shut down Social Security.

Some Democratic member of Congress should propose a bill saying that a POTUS may golf at government expense no more than, say, once every 14 days, and must reimburse the Treasury for anything beyond that.
A couple of golf outings could pay for over 300 federal jobs for an entire year.
So…..fraud and waste? Eh?!?!

What he said about Social Security payments has been repeatedly debunked - so the question isn’t whether he’s lying about this, the question is why.

What is this a pretext for? He and the GOP have long shown interest in going after Social Security. What are they going to try?

Of course the Democrats will be going to Houston to find and interview voters who were laid off , to ask them what their expectations of the new administration were and how they feel they are doing at the moment. And posting here and everywhere. Right ?
On Fox Business this morning, Chevron Chair and CEO Mike Wirth discusses all of the records that the company has broken last year.

"Record" production, record distributions to shareholders, etc...

Yet they're laying off 15%-20% of their workforce.

Vile.
