We all know students copying work from the board is unlikely to boost learning, yet often we find ourselves doing it.

What if there was a better way.

I am happy to announce the return of my Cancelling Copying webinar!

We have all been there. A long day of PowerPoints, too many voices competing for time, and you leave feeling more exhausted than inspired. You did not choose the programme, and you cannot control i…

Excited to be at @cogscisci.bsky.social conference again. If you’re around, please say hi!

@adamboxereducation.bsky.social kicked things off with a keynote reflecting on his journey into cognitive science (featuring less cursing and better PowerPoint skills than one might expect)

I’m a big proponent of Mixed Ability and spoke about teaching mixed ability in science on @cogscisci.bsky.social podcast a couple of years ago. It’s applicable to all subjects though. (I do concede at the end it’s very hard to do in Maths).

Tomorrow I'll be talking @researchedbrum.bsky.social on one of my minor obsessions: Why sometimes people change and other times they don't. I think it's a big reason why most PD fails.
