I would be shocked if Mitch McConnell didn't give specific instructions to prop up his corpse like this years ago. Some folks are pushing the idea that this is a case of elder abuse, versus an amoral politician's plan to hurt as many people as possible until his last breath rattles out of his body.

The local Facebook group consists of a handful of older residents noticing something has slightly changed downtown, then blaming a specific local politician for it.

Weird dreams last night. A Tom Ripley character, all sinister smiles and oleaginous grace, tried to intimidate me. It would've been a short movie, however, since I told him to get lost, then kicked his ass to a crowd's applause.

When you reread old entries and have to remember you were probably dealing with various issues through writing about the angrier, more miserable times.

My worst habits:
1. Trying to do too much.
2. Finally getting around to doing a project, then feeling like that project is less important than the other projects I'm not doing. And if I was doing those OTHER projects, I'd feel the same way about them.

I think it was the "give me prime real estate rather than a space where the presence of a major institution might reinvigorate a neighborhood that's seen better days" attitudes that soured folks on two particular museums in Chicago.

I think the next administration needs to investigate what's turned so many Americans into tinfoil-hat wearing fruit loops.
I bet he's going to go after HAARP next to prevent mind control and earthquakes.

Went to see The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari at a local theater last night. Loved it, but I need to remember to leave when a discussion is scheduled afterwards. Because a lot of folks don't know what the hell they're talking about.

Forgot to mention after I returned from French Lick, IN, last month... One phrase we heard consistently from the locals at restaurants and the like: "Ah 'preciate you!" ("I appreciate you!") Which is a southern Indianan thing, I suppose.
