I've been playing Avowed and I think it's clear that we have entirely ignored the expression, "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good."
Avowed is a good game. It doesn't subvert expectations and the characters don't break molds, but it's fun to play, has fun dialogue, and it's stunning visually.
