this app is very good. I've wanted a podcast app that was able to strip ads forever and this one actually does a good job of it.

I've averaged 9 meets per day this week.
I've seen my parents 4 times in the last ten years.
At the current rate I will have around 51,000 more meetings before state retirement age and I'll see my parents 3 more times before they die.

I had the joy of hearing two old white women in the supermarket this morning moaning about how they are "in the minority round here now".
They are part of the NINETY FIVE FUCKING PERCENT of the local population who are White British.
So that was a good start to the DAY.

There's a real lack of fawning, paint-by-numbers, performatively sincere content online about what a great guy he was despite his flaws and how his TV shows speak specifically to that one persons totally unique view of the world.

My version of fiddling whilst the world burns is adding silly things to my already silly website, and I think on balance that's probably better than watching the news.

I've spent the last month working on a side-project: a documentary history of my house - deeds, censuses, estate maps, newspaper archives. Real archive work too, days in local libraries and record offices, not just a laptop and 400 browser tabs. What a massive nerd. #devon
