We know what needs to be done to tackle the drugs deaths crisis for women and children. We need more investment in women-specific services to increase capacity and expand available and accessible support across Scotland.

Recently we responded to Scot Gov's consultation on improving protection in the justice system for women & girls. Vast improvements to the justice system are required to ensure all women & children can access justice, safety & recovery from all forms of violence against women & girls.

2)you don't get people "back to work" by making their lives impossible (note cut of a third to long-term benefits). It makes the problem worse

⚠️ 10,715 children in Scotland are trapped in temporary accommodation. A record high, and more than double from a decade ago. #HousingEmergency

Behind every statistic is a child and a family waiting for a home.

Help us fight for the homes they, and Scotland, need.

This video was filmed in Palestine.

My heart struggles to comprehend such cruelty and the heartbreaking disregard for human life. No human being should have to endure this.

A pleasure to meet with @aberlourcharity.bsky.social in Holyrood to discuss how we can work to eradicate child poverty in Scotland.

In the last parliamentary term alone, they provided aid and advice to over 2,300 people in Edinburgh and Lothians East.

Aberlour's work is truly invaluable.

Great to see @ross-greer.bsky.social highlighting the issue of public and coerced debt as a tactic of coercive control. Public debt, and the systems in place to recover it, too often trap families in poverty and can prevent women and children safely fleeing domestic abuse.

New forecasts predict that average rental costs for new tenancies will rise by 4 or 5% by the end of the year.

Eye-watering rents are denying renters the stable foundation they need for a good life, as the latest MIS research shows 👇

We need rent controls without delay.

Recently mums we support on their recovery journeys, along with our team, attended a meeting with the Scottish Recovery Consortium. Our mums shared their stories & the problems they have faced. We created a brick wall of these to discuss with attendees so we could all help find solutions together.

Today we hope @johnswinney.bsky.social turns welcome words to #EndChildPoverty into clear and targeted actions, with significant investment and a coherent plan.
