GATTO Wood Oven Italian Restaurant had peach pizzas available for a limited time and oh Lordy they are super tasty! One had prosciutto and burrata on it, kind of a classic style of pizza, and the other (my preferred) had pepperoni and hot honey.

The Australian Pink Floyd show in Toronto was phenomenal! The images had an Aussie tinge to them but the music was what we expected, except for a few surprises, such as extended solos and outros. The giant pink kangaroo hopping in place—that took the cake!

The Australian Pink Floyd show in Toronto was phenomenal! The images had an Aussie tinge to them but the music was what we expected, except for a few surprises, such as extended solos and outros. The giant pink kangaroo hopping in place—that took the cake!

I got to see the world premiere of Takashi Miike’s newest film, #BadLieutenantTokyo, at #TIFF! Lighter and more humorous than previous Bad Lieutenant movies, it still had the elegantly violent flourishes we love about Miike.

I watched The Invite yesterday. Never saw anything Olivia Wilde acted in or directed before, but she and Seth Rogan are as a hilarious comedy duo, I was just constantly laughing!

This sumptuous courtyard in the super posh Hotel de Crillon seemed a perfect spot to enjoy a grilled Catalan sausage with mash. Plus a Hibiki Suntori whisky that turned out to be a whopping 48€!
Our final meal in Paris for this vacation. Very sad to leave. But my wallet is delighted to leave.

Shakespeare and Company is a renowned & beloved bookstore in Paris. Word is that famous writers from way back used to write there. Now there are lineups every day at all hours to get in and browse. We ended up with four books and a beautiful tote bag. And a homemade lemonade from the cafe next door.

A disappointing start to our big vacation: we got downgraded from business class to premium economy. All so a family could sit together. Which makes no sense, as all the seats are separated anyway. Oh well. This is still our first big vacation in almost 10 years, so we ain’t gonna let this faze us.
