A new film that's worth looking out for: DIE ANDERE SEITE ("The Other Side") by Mariko Minoguchi. A rare contagion film from the perspective of the infected rather than the "unsullied." Typically great performance by Nina Hoss. Seems like the kind of film that might show up in next year's ND/NF.

Contemporary country music is often openly racist and MAGA but yes, it’s the people who don’t listen to it who are “virtue signaling.”

Yes Dems need to focus on affordability but they can also clarify that the GOP is now dominated by people who are explicitly against family planning, for infant mortality, and want to reduce literacy rates.
