I've been thinking about differences between exophonic writing and translated work originally written in the author's native tongue. Those are vastly distinct experiences to the writer themself but to the reader…? Would it bear any meaning today for writing to be done exophonically?

I'm still processing the passing of my friend Emi Koyama. As soon as I learned she'd been diagnosed with cancer I promised her I'd visit her in Seattle sometime this summer. I got a new passport just a couple weeks ago just for this plan (that's how long it's been since my last international trip).
