I know this has been talked about many times before but I’ll keep asking until insurance companies come up with a justifiable reason why ears, eyes, and teeth are covered differently. Currently dealing with hearing aids issues.

Librarian thoughts: libraries pay Overdrive, Hoopla, Kanopy and other streaming services so that you can check out ebooks, e-audiobooks, e-magazines, and stream music, tv shows, and movies for free. LibGen is theft. Support your local library and support authors.

I’ve heard reports that DOGE raided the Institute for Museum and Library Services this morning. There’s been no reports on it since the shuttering of the Department of Education is dominating the news.

Librarian thoughts: libraries are nonpartisan. That doesn’t mean they aren’t political. Books are political. Who we serve is political. How we serve is political. Librarians are targets of political attacks. Yet we will continue to fight for everyone’s right to read, view, and use our resources.
