this keeps happening, over and over, with large journalist accounts. usually cis journalists, but not always. i don't know how else to say this but you gotta have a thicker skin if you're a public figure and talk about trans issues. lashing out to critics of your work is petty and irresponsible.

100% what happened. The history of anti-trans politics is trying to design a legitimizing study around a conclusion, massaging the data when that doesn't work, and then just giving up and raw-dogging what they were going to do anyway.
Kind of feels like the IOC expected for the study to say "yeah trans women are like the hulk somehow" and when it completely undercut the reasoning behind banning us. They have simply elected to ignore their own work.
