Brock Purdy's 119.3 passer rating leads all QBs who have at least 100 pass attempts this season and his 84.7 QBR leads everybody.

And he's played 3 of the top-6 rated pass defenses vs. QBs in the league (LAR, DEN, SEA)

This is a good comparison. But Ayo’s contract starts at 19.3M *this year* when the cap is $165M. Podz’s starts at $18.9M next year when the cap is $176M. And Ayo is 26yo, so he’s unlikely to improve substantially. Podz is 23yo; expect him to get significantly better.

This is a team-friendly deal for Podz. It’s a little more than the full MLE. Podz is already worth the MLE, and he’s only 23yo. Based on his age, he should get better every year of this contract.

One of the most encouraging things from Yax these first two games has been the rebounding. He’s had 9 in each game, playing only about 20 minutes per game. That will be huge for the Dubs if it continues.
Don't think I've heard a rookie ever talk like this before Game 1. But If Lendeborg delivers, it'll just make him bigger.

Kuminga turned down a 3-year offer with the Warriors (3rd year team option) because he wanted to be a free agent sooner. He would have been locked up for $25M if he’d taken that offer. Now he’s hoping for the MLE and probably won’t even get that.

The league is always changing and adjusting. Caitlin pointing to two big recent changes: steals and speed.
The NBA just posted its highest TOV% of any playoffs in the tracking era. Given the emphasis on possession maxxing, curious to see in what ways teams continue to search for small, sustainable tweaks to crank up their steal creation.

The WNBA has never been bigger under Cathy Engelbert.

Record revenue, expansion and a landmark CBA have fueled unprecedented growth.

So why is criticism of the commissioner only getting louder?

Happy for him. But bummed to see him likely go.
Restricted free agent Quinten Post is signing a three-year, $30 million contract offer sheet with the Memphis Grizzlies, sources tell ESPN. The Golden State Warriors have until 11:59pm ET on Tuesday to match.

This is the right move. Balogun landed on the other player’s ankle, but there was nothing inherently dangerous about the play. He was going for the ball. Soccer is a contact sport and sometimes fair but physical play results in inadvertent injuries. That wasn’t a cardable offense.
Folarin Balogun will be available to play the USMNT’s round of 16 match against Belgium, with his one-game red-card ban that he received against Bosnia and Herzegovina suspended.

Which defender gave Victor Wembanyama the most trouble in the 2026 playoffs?

Karl-Anthony Towns.

In the 182 possessions in which KAT was the primary defender on Wemby, he shot just 39% (16-for-41 FGs), including 1-of-5 from 3PT.
