I re-made the SemiAnalysis subscription margin table, which assumed 75% gross margins, with the actual margins presented here that were about 42%. The answer is pretty rough, with just under 5% average utilization being the break-even point for ChatGPT
Original subscription margin table showing subscription margin for Claude and ChatGPT based on how much the average user utilizes the subscription. Shitty Google Sheets version which shows the same numbers, albeit without the break-even points. Same doc showing 42% gross margins. At that rate no ChatGPT subscriptions make a profit at 5% average utilization.

La dicotomia de ser un artista y estar forzado a ser un "creador de contenido" es que a veces uno hace cosas que está seguro que no van a pegar, pero las hacemos igual porque queremos hacerlas.
