Camp Miasma was great and also I love that Jane Schoenbrun is (in my interpretation) actively avoiding digestibility/legibility in their filmmaking. the use of painted flats in Miasma in particular was *chef's kiss*

sorry for the 3 skeets in a row but the vyvanse just kicked in -- I'm working on a proposal that involves researching cartomancy and taking into account the fact that the Tarot and other decks were originally playing card games I now want to create a divination system for Pokemon TCG.

AI has truly ruined writing for me because I use lists of 3's and em dashes all the time and now I'm just convinced every grant or fellowship review panel is side eying my proposals

Approaching this semester in a chaotic neutral fashion; publishing my Canvas courses 3 weeks early to both scare my students into realizing the semester is coming up and also give them some time to review materials and prepare themselves
