I would argue that its the lighting systems and filter/effects that are a big issue here. All three of these games actually have radically different modelling and art style under the hood; but the generic "realistic" lighting and FX systems literally washes out the unique qualities.
I don't have any attachment to the franchise, but I am looking at the trend as a whole - and within it, what saddens me is the "standardization" of the AD for the remakes
