On Twitter I always felt I can't talk about everything I want, because people who follow me would be interested in one thing but not in the other. So I posted almost nothing. I want to change that here, as much as I already feel bad for spamming non asian drama people with asian drama content daily.
I'm surprised that I actually like like a lot about #irreplaceable. It does a good job setting the stage and giving characters, even the villains, background that explains their actions. #cdrama

Okay, #irreplaceable I appreciate that your FL doesn't take shit and your ML is not an abusive ass, but please chill with that background music, you're more dramatic than that lakorn I watched last week and all you have to show are some spreadsheets and powerpoint presentations. #cdrama
In the mood for drama, so I started a new Lakorn and boy did it deliver. First Ep: adultery, a car chase, 2 deaths, robbery, gambling debts, loansharks, shooting, knives, suicide threat, sick grandma, sick grandpa, classism, scheming, screaming, crying, and ofc a pretty suffering heroine #thaidrama

Currently translating a book about IVF, and now google (and by extension youtube) thinks I want a Baby. 😭 (I very much do not.)

The drama that opened up a whole new world for me was "Mars". But the most impactful one, the one that really hit and never left was #CoffeePrince . #kdrama
What's your "origin" drama?

Most drama lovers have a lot of favorite dramas, sure, but there's always one that basically 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 you.

I'm talking about the drama that flipped that little switch in your brain and made into a life-long watcher.

So, which drama is 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨?
What's your "origin" video game?

Most gamers have a lot of favorite games, sure, but there's always one that basically 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 you.

Thanks to Netflix picking up a ton of last year's #thaibl I can now finally watch #Shine and wow is this show good (so far). Especially episode 4 was a work of art, built around the theme of this upbeat song with all that joy and looming heartbreak.❤️ www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIlt...

The front and the back are finished (blocked and unblocked), but in classic "I'll use up these scraps" fashion this is all that is left of the white for the sleeves. So there's some serious yarn chickening about to happen. #knitting #knitsky 🧶

After a pretty long slump I'm finally knitting again. Really fun vintage pattern. Love the slip stitch stripes and that it has ribbing at the waist. But I'm heavily sideeyeing the raw stockinette hem. Will have to do some finishing at the end. #knitsky #knitting 🧶

#dramatropechallenge2026 D3: Sudden Shower
#thaiBL Me and Thee has a surprisingly well written romance with excellent pacing and a memorable scene every episode. Like this early moment of connection when Peach pulls Thee out of his comfort zone to dance with him in the rain.

D2 #dramatropechallenge2026 "Adorable Loser in Love". See, Hwang Dong Man in "We are all trying here" is only adorable about 5% of the time, but those 5% all have to do with him being smitten with Eun A, so I say it counts. #kdrama #wearealltryinghere

I will try to do this one. But I won't always pick my favorites. Sometimes it'll be just a fun show that comes to mind. Mostly because doing faves every challenge would lead to me posting the same dramas over and over again. As always, if not interested mute #dramatropechallenge2026

A Wife's Credentials and Heard it through the Grapevine are great. Secret Love Affair has a scene that still haunts me 12 years after watching it. Very sad news.
How sad to hear of the death of one of #kdrama great directors Ahn Pan Seok. A director with a very specific style of his own.
Something in the Rain, One Spring Night and many more are some of his classics. A director who knew how to get the best out of his actors. 🎥 💔

I started #cbl #cdrama Blue Lips. It’s low budget in some of the worst kinds of ways, which means: I HAD to watch. The first 3 eps are rough, but it like how the drama is driven by the ambiguity of their relationship later on. Wish the age gap was smaller, makes a lot of what happens very sketchy.

I just wanted to say that I love to read all kinds of #kdrama #jdrama #cdrama #bldrama opinions. I enjoy the ranting and bitching and snarking and critical analysis just as much as the raving and honest joy of people loving a drama.

You'd think he would have learned a thing or two when the entire #knitting community went after him for his poorly researched video about knitting and science. No, straight to AI we go. (If we are to believe this was the first time ...)
If you’re a science communicator and you use AI, read this.

This is about what’s happening to Hank Green.

I was in the mood for a spooky drama and started #theeastpalace and sadly (2 eps in) it's not spooky. It's entertaining and nice to look at, but way too flashy with the special effects and on your nose with the story telling. I don't hate it, but it's a little dissapointing. #kdrama

Every time I see an AI book cover discussion it makes me want to scream. Some people have disconnected that making something costs money, if you don’t have that money you cannot make the thing. If having a book cover is necessary I suggest budgeting for that the way the rest of us budget projects

State of the heat wave: spent a minute staring at a head of lettuce, then went to the supermarket to buy premade salad.

I'm a bit bored with my current WIPs and though it might be time for another vintage sweater. So I pulled up this booklet from 1952 I downloaded from the internet archive a while ago and I just want to make everything. 🤯 #vintageknitting #knitting

Watching #kdrama #wearealltryinghere is weirdly relaxing, because of how this drama establishes right from the beginning: Look, everyone here is a mess, a human, with lots of emotions, many of them ugly, just watch and see what happens.

#myroyalnemesis really makes me wish I could wipe all the #kdrama I have ever seen from my brain and not get grumpy at the first signs of scheming chaebol families and fated lovers tropes, because I LOVE the FL, but everything else bores me. Might skip watch when all eps are out.

The fact that I enjoyed both #khemjira and #goddessblessyoufromdeath despite their flaws probably means I should watch more spooky #thaidrama . It's just so hard to find spooky without it being horror or endless jumpscares (hate them). Both being #thaibl probably helped soften the horror elements.

1. Japan (pure nostalgia + Matsumoto Jun)
2. Taiwan (pure nostalgia + Vic Zhou + Barbie Hsu)
3. Thailand (objectively probably the best, but no nostalgia)
4. Korea (bad, but so bad, it's funny)
5. China (absolutely fine, but forgetable)
How do you rank Meteor Garden/Boys over flowers (live action, series only, 1st season only):

Mine
1st - Thailand
2nd - China
3rd - Japan
4th - Taiwan
5th - Korea

#chinguchallenge 10 Costume
I absolutely adore Fan Chang Yu's character design in Pursuit of Jade (which I still have not finished 🫣). It felt as if someone really thought about it and put a lot of love into it. #cdrama

I plan to finish the #chinguchallenge prompts, but it's deadline week (as in: I have to hand in this 600+ page translation on Monday and I'm on the second round of edits and I hate my life a little bit), and I just don't have the headspace for it now.
