Sickened + speechless. Cruelty and selfishness ARE the point. As if this were membership to a country club.
The Department of Homeland Security is celebrating that for the first time in ~50 years, more people left America than moved here.

These people are so stupid and so racist they don’t realize they are scoring own goals

Saturday self-soothing. By making an infographic. As I do. TL;DR, no singular point of intervention will fix this. We can keep simplifying what's not simple, or dig-in to really fix shit.

My dear friend Sharif is in dire need of donations to take care of his children. Like so many displaced Gazans.

His accounts here are constantly, and erroneously, deleted as spam. Also like so many.

Please give if you can. No amount is too small.

My farmer's market has an electric guitarist busking this week, and he played Holy Diver while I was shopping next to his booth. Not exactly a Dio fan, but that brought me a greater sense of belonging in Sandy, Oregon I think, than anything else, yet.

This afternoon we found out our sweet Tigger is in the end stages of liver failure. 2 weeks into his cancer treatment. Sunday we'll be sending him over the rainbow bridge via an at-home euthenasia vet. Big day of ugly crying, snuggles, and loving on our 16y/o guy.

Get to know the complex story of trans athletes competing in elite sports. They carry all the biological disadvantages, not the cisgender athletes; but they also exude far more joy.

When I worked at Fox Motocross, we really thought motocross was going to take over the world. Be bigger than football. It was crushing Europe and Japan. Dominance over mankind, was on the horizon!

Spent idle brain time today thinking about the completely opposite journeys yet convergent impacts of Gloria and Dolly on women's rights. Dolly's subversive cultural liberation of women celebrating our sexuality and owning our self-worth w/o apology. Gloria's movement and policy transformations. 🙏🏻

Rob Halford nailed it: she was beautiful TO people. She made beauty a verb, while also owning our expectation of beauty, as an external embellishment of ourselves.

How to treat others with unconditional beauty. How to live beauty as a spiritual and social virtue, and not just an aesthetic virtue.
