I think I would respect Universes Beyond a lot more if they made some really left-field choices and committed hard. Like. Give us Le Petit Prince or Arrested Development or the Wes Anderson Cinematic Universe instead of the same slop we already see in every other fucking form of media

Hard to believe that it's been almost a month since we got married! I love how the photos came out. It was a dream turned reality and we were so fortunate that our friends and family came from afar to celebrate with us 🤍
Our private vows by the ocean, Alex is embracing me and I'm in my wedding dress and veil. Walking out after the ceremony, Alex and I are hand in hand and laughing. The ceremony is outside and decorated with white trees and purple and blue flowers. In the backdrop is a forest and it's sunny. Alex and I dancing on the rocks by the shore at sunset. He's twirling me around Guests from the Magic community at the ceremony - Bo Su, Mani, Jadine, Carmen, Greg, Misha, Aaron, and others

No. Your childhood nostalgia does not matter more than the lives of real people.

And frankly I'm fucking tired of having to pretend that isnt a fucking insane thing to say in response to "please don't support the hate monger lady's soggy, reheated nachos"

I had this Japanese poem (#77 from the Hundred Poets) in my mind when I wrote the message. The image of swift waters parting and joining again was written about lovers, but I feel it equally applies to old friends, and even old hobbies. It’s alright to have time apart and meet again down-stream. 💙
Hyakunin Isshu: poem 77 (Retired Emperor Sutoku・se wo hayami) Swift waters parted by the jagged rocks are joined at river’s end. 瀬をはやみ se wo hayami 岩にせかるる iwa ni sekaruru 滝川の taki-gawa no われても末に warete mo sue ni あはむとぞ思ふ awan to zo omou

Pretty magical to be a part of this project. Drew found me on Sunday at my most exhausted, but I was honoured to be able to say the words that have been building in my heart.
Photo of me with my message “Dear Magic, I don’t really know how to feel about you. Sometimes I feel like we’ve grown apart a little, like old friends who part ways and go in different directions. But every time I sit down and shuffle up, I feel that same excitement I felt the first time- of both not knowing what’s going to happen, and also the challenge of forging my own destiny. I do know for sure though, that the people I’ve met through you are the brightest, most vibrant, wildly funny, and sometimes unhinged people I’ve met, and that’s why I helped to make Shoebox, which is my gift to them.” -With Love, Haiyue

Rebellions are built on hope

I'll reiterate that it's not about belief, or even faith. It's about hope. Admittedly, that is hard to hold on to. There are no guarantees that things can or will get better, but if they are going to get better that tends to rely on people acting as if they can.
