ICE has fallen out of the headlines but July marked the largest number of migrant detentions ever on record. Five migrants have died in ICE custody in the last two months. It's also currently impossible to legally migrate to this country, as 100% of visa applications have been paused.

What horseshit. She embraced gay people at the height of the AIDS crisis, embraced trans people at the height of the war against them, supported Black communities and artists, and wrote the most pro-worker's rights feminist pop song of all time. Neutral my ass

"At a time when no American celebrity seems immune from the country’s many divisions, Dolly Parton was a crossover icon who stayed neutral in the culture wars while still speaking her mind," writes Zachary B. Wolf. | Analysis

I was sexually abused as a child. A few years later, I saw ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW and absolutely fell in love with it. These things are not unrelated. The movie showed me it was okay to feel weird and horny and weirdly horny and hornily weird. Thank you, Tim Curry, and RIP.

Hi. I published another EP. There is a song about Pete Alonso on there. There's also a song about having a one-night stand as the world ends. That one is based on a true story.

You know what blows my mind? My parents' generation was the first to care about feelings. Before, like, the 1960s, nobody really cared what their father, mother, wife, husband, sister, brother, friend, or CHILD was feeling.

It's crazy how many health problems could be solved by just eating a mostly plant-based diet.

I'm not talking strict vegan. I'm talking about ditching red and processed meats, and eating poultry/fish at one meal a day. Something like that.

These craven scumbags blithely lied in order to get the day of headlines the mad king wanted. They knew they had nothing, but all that matters to them is whatever six-hour news cycle they're in the middle of.

Devastated by the Glen Hansard news. He was an important person to me creatively. He was also important to my marriage. One of the first dates my ex-wife and I went on was to see "Once" in a multiplex in Dubuque, Iowa. It's not really a "multiplex in Dubuque, Iowa" kinda movie, and in fact...

Sometimes I think about who is "the one who got away" for each Seinfeld character:

For Jerry, it's obviously Sidra, who was not only beautiful and had "spectacular" breasts, but was also genuinely funny. Her line, "He would have made a great Nazi" still slays. They could have been happy together.

Democrats always have a tougher challenge than Republicans because they have to make people feel safe while asking them to keep their hearts open.

Republicans, especially these days, tell people it's okay to keep them closed.

Film criticism is no longer written for the average moviegoer because the average moviegoer in this country is a mouth-breathing moron who thinks anyone who can put together a decent sentence is an elitist snob.

Finally caught up with THE DRAMA. I give it credit for its original premise and top-tier acting, but there is just so much left unexplored. It left me feeling pretty annoyed.

The problem with THE INVITE is it was directed by an actor who was so caught up in making the audience *feel* the characters that she gave the film no shape. A more experienced director would have started out with a perspective of ironic detachment and gradually let the immersion take over.

Processed meats are carcinogenic. They cause cancer. This is not in dispute. And yet millions of parents in this country give them to their children every day. I do not understand it.
