🔥 MHW conditions still persist around southern UK & Ireland
⤵️ Unusually warm water now extends from the surface to the seabed off the coast of Weymouth
⚓️ South of Weymouth, the warm anomaly is mixed all the way to the seabed, approximately 40m deep

🌊 New NOC-led research suggests limiting global warming to around 1.5–2°C could help the North Atlantic spring phytoplankton bloom recover over time.

But if warming rises beyond this before net zero is reached, the bloom could continue declining.

Boaty McBoatface has returned from its first expedition under glacial mélange!

Our friends at @noc.ac.uk sent the UK's favourite submarine on a 23hr mission from the RRS Sir David Attenborough. This data will help show how Greenland's glaciers interact with the fjords and oceans.
