Imagine being ROBERT SHAW who on the word “action” has to convince us (in close up) he’s on a boat with just 2 other people in the middle of the ocean chasing a shark.

If you ever thought Acting easy this photo alone should disabuse you of that daft notion.

Yep, pretty fantastic
It’s 1970 and ELTON JOHN takes out a crumpled piece of paper and plays “Tiny Dancer” for the first time in front of his lyricist BERNIE TAUPIN and Taupin’s wife Maxine (for whom Taupin wrote the song).

Did I mention I want this! 😮🙂
This rare 1920s original expanding dining table by furniture designer Josef Seiler who invented and patented the "Liegnitz Ringtisch", a mechanism that allows a round table to increase its overall diameter while remaining perfectly circular.

The thief is not impressed.

A burglar breaks into a respectable home and finds nothing worth stealing. The owners are more offended by his taste than the robbery.
Sham — Episode 3 of Nocturne Cipher. A dry little satire from 1920 that still lands.

Yes he was an excellent actor. If you have not seen Dog Day Afternoon do yourself a favor and check it out. It’s quite a movie especially for the time. Great acting all around.

Can you imagine what it took to build that back then.
Swedish warship Vasa sank to the bottom of the Baltic Sea in 1628. In 1961 it was salvaged and the wood was still strong enough to be able to walk the decks. Today is the world's best-preserved XVII century ship.

One of my favorites!
I love this movie, it’s similar to Clue in a lot of ways but isn’t. And it was released many years before Clue.

Not horror but I’m tagging #FrightClub anyway. #FilmSky #NowWatching

Every time i see this effect I like it more. It must have horrified people of the day!
How a 1937 film pulled off one of cinema’s creepiest transformations. It’s hard to believe this effect was created nearly 90 years ago.
