A podcast dedicated to exploring the minds and personalities that make up the field of cybersecurity. We talk about cybersecurity and a lot of other stuff!
Happy Dolly Day! 🦋

We like to think she'd be tickled pink by a day like today. And if we had to guess, she'd tell us it was never about her. It was about the overlooked people who needed someone to tell their story, and she told it in the most charming way imaginable.

I have a favorite teacher and I bet you do too.

At CyberLaunch 2026 we sat down with Austin Walley of George Jenkins High School.

This one is for every teacher who believed in someone before that someone was ready to believe in themselves.

Share a memory. Maybe they will see it.

I love this movie almost as much as I love the Penguin's submarine-buying alias, P. N. Gwinn. How did the Dynamic Duo ever crack such an incredibly convincing pseudonym?
60 years ago today, BATMAN was released in theaters, and not only is one of the great underrated comedies of the '60s, but when it comes to delivering the message "some days you just can't get rid of a bomb," it's second to nun.

Philipp Leo's LinkedIn bio reads like three different people.
Military officer. UN diplomat on the Korean DMZ. Cyber advisor to Fortune 500 boards. Published in MIT Sloan. Part of Europol's expert network.

Oh, and he studied art history.

@bowtiesecurityguy.bsky.social remembers every act of kindness ever shown to him, the food court worker who looked away, the battle buddies who showed up, the leader who told him the hard truth.

He built his career on one belief: kindness isn't soft. It's a strategy. For leading. Hiring. Mentoring.

🧵 @rexwilson.bsky.social has been the undisputed hat champion of No Password Required since day one. BowtieSecurityGuy showed up and changed everything. Rob's hat collection captured our attention, but his story captured our hearts.

On No Password Required, we get to sit down with some of the sharpest minds in cybersecurity. Today that meant a conversation with Philipp Leo, founder of Leo & Muhly GmbH, a Swiss cyber expert who advises governments, trains military specialists, and has represented the United Nations.

Shane Tews joined us to talk about where AI trust stands today, and what the shift from personal utility to societal impact actually looks like. That bigger conversation is just getting started.

"We're really at a change agent moment. What it allows us to do is think at a whole new level."

Want to know what a Tech Lead at Airbnb really thinks? Skip the resume. Ask her about superheroes.

Deadpool is funny. Mudita Khurana will give him that.

But a superhero? Absolutely not.

If you are speaking at BSides Tampa and on No Password Required, you surely like to code, right?

Mudita Khurana knew early on that she didn't love coding the way the people around her did.

She stuck with it anyway. Found her place.

AI isn't just changing what security teams defend against. It's changing whether the tools they're building will even be relevant in three months.

For many, imposter syndrome doesn't go away. Even Mudita Khurana, Airbnb, still feels it.

Her advice: be dumb. Ask the questions. Say "I have no idea, can you help me?" When you see someone else having that same day, lean in and remind them that nobody knows everything.

Life in the cybersecurity world is no day on the beach, well sometimes it is.

Your title, location, or how you recharge does not define your ability to lead.

Mudita Khurana tried management, was good at it, and then deliberately walked away from it.

Like Jules Winfield said, personality goes a long way. That’s why we love the Lifestyle Polygraph segment, it reveals so many things that a strictly cyber conversation could never do.

Deadpool is NOT a superhero. And her dream remote work base is an 11,000-foot Buddhist town in the Himalayas.
June 11, 2026 at 12:42 PM
What did you do at Bsides Tampa?

We talked to Mudita Khurana, Tech Lead at Airbnb about the three leadership qualities worth obsessing over.

Clarity. Ownership. Consistency.

Did you miss it? No problem, we have the full episode linked in the comments.

Mudita Khurana didn't grow up dreaming of a career in cyber. She comes from a family of doctors and picked computer science mostly as an act of rebellion.

Recorded live at Tampa BSides.

On the Lifestyle Polygraph segment of No Password Required, Rob Hughes, CISO at RSA, names Phantasm as a deeply underrated horror franchise. Not because it’s flawless, but because the original film is “amazing in all the wrong ways.”.

Thoughtful, candid, and witty, this is a must-listen for anyone thinking about the future of security

The frolicking penguin? Sometimes we give you the content you need. Sometimes we give you the content you want. And let’s be honest…everybody wants a frolicking penguin.

Turn up the volume on this one.

If you feel like frolicking down the street with a Gen X boombox, we fully support that life choice. It’s exactly what an original founder of geek(dot)com would recommend.

Our latest episode features Rob Hughes, CISO of RSA.

Could we go back to this aesthetic but with modern specs and normalize it?
