I can hardly wait to see this documentary.
"Mr. Gibney did not respond to a request for comment. Jigsaw released a statement that read, in part, 'Except for one man, everyone in the world wants to see this film.'”

I mean, look at these gorgeous, flashy #sphalerite cut gems! Vote for #sphalerite in the next hour; they're neck and neck with the blue guy. #MinCup26
Two faceted sphalerites from my collections. It's hard to document dispersion on camera, but these things have 3 times the fire of diamonds #MinCup26

Let's go, #sphalerite, with all of your varied colors! We need more votes because the one-trick-pony blue stuff is closing the gap. #MinCup2026

A political adviser to the IRGC commander, Mohammad Bakr Zo-Alkadar, said the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed as long as Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu hold power.

#sphalerite is hanging in there, but #azurite is catching up. I suspect a close race with #azurite rallying in the last few hours. #TeamSphalerite #MinCup26
Interesting. #Azurite had an early lead, but now my multicolored fave #sphalerite has rocketed into the lead. #MinCup26
#MinCup26 Round 2 Match 1:
It’s a visually-striking start to Round 2 as deep blue pigment #Azurite is against lead- and zinc-rich #Sphalerite.

Fascinating stuff here about AI and chatbots. Stay human, y'all.
In one of the most important convos I’ve had this year, I talked with Sherry Turkle about how our interactions with AI platforms, simulated companions, and artificial personalities can reshape us, diminish our capacities, and alter our very conceptions of ourselves and what it means to be a person.
Artificial Intimacy Is Changing Who We Are
“We start to judge our human interactions by what the chatbot can deliver,” says author Sherry Turkle.

20 y/o me would be surprised at the twists and turns her life took, but pleased to know she could make a living with a portmanteau music career and eventually retire. Her notions about love and relationships would be totally dashed.
Would 20 y/o you be impressed or disappointed by you today?

Getting bids to repair/replace the synthetic stucco on my house. First rep just inspected/measured the house. Don't want to know how expensive it's going to be, but it's necessary work. I've been here 10 years, and I think current stucco was done ca. 2011, when the house was flipped (for cheap).

Crime is fast. Justice is slow.

I know it's slow for a reason, but right now, it's _way_ too slow (and corrupt).
The destruction of the Kennedy Center shows how accountability for the depredations of Trump II — if it ever comes — will be so slow, drawn-out, exhausting, and limited that it will never feel satisfying, complete, or just.

Transnational crime syndicate masquerading as government. Donald is the distracting clown; Kushner is the mob boss.
The New Yorker has some concerning reporting in its deep dive on Jared Kushner suggesting that a future Russia/Ukraine peace deal could be tied to potential Russian business deals for Trump, Kushner and Witkoff.

Going forward, the US National Science Foundation research budget for all atmospheric, ocean, and Earth sciences is $110 million per year.

Trump's illegal war with Iran cost the Department of Defense (i.e., the American taxpayers) $38 billion in the first 5 months, or $220 million per day.
