🗳️ Help us elect Green MLA’s!
The recent legislative sitting failed to pass one bill addressing the climate emergency our province continues to face. These weather events won't go anywhere, but Nova Scotians might unless we invest in proper emergency response and preparedness. #climatechange #nspoli #gpns

We are dismayed to hear that Tim Houston’s PC Government returned $5 million in federal funding earmarked to protect nature areas in our province. On our current trajectory NS will fall short of our commitments to the federal government to protect 20% of its lands by 2030.

We 💚 this beautiful province, which is why we think you should be able to see it without reliance on personal vehicles. The Green Party of Nova Scotia believes in improving existing public transit within communities, and investing in an integrated system between communities.

Establishing and enforcing Protected Areas in Nova Scotia ensures that we limit the reach of risky silviculture practices, and protect our homes from increased wildfires due to climate change. We support any efforts to move us closer to our 20% target for protected areas by 2030. #nspoli #nsclimate

Unfortunately, years of underfunding by the governing PCs and previous Liberal government have resulted in several rural library branches closing and/or significantly reducing their open hours. This is incredibly short-sighted and downplays the roles libraries play in the province.

(1/5) By now we've all seen the video of an Islamophobic white man spewing his hatred and violence at Costco in Halifax. As economic conditions worsen, some will become more open to fascist scapegoating as they look for someone to blame.
