#Octobird the Fifth

With my pencils and watercolours for size context.
Guess we get a small bird tomorrow since the Crane got a little out of hand.
a photo of paper full of tiny bird paintings, with a box of watercolours and pencils beside it to show how small the paintings are.

Kallistia Shimmermoon, a night elf priestess of Elune, with little Lhu <3

Commission for @voidwife.bsky.social

#warcraft
Digital artwork of a World of Warcraft night elf drawn from the waist up, smiling at the small ethereal rabbit held in her arms. The elf lady has pale purple skin, glowing pale blue eyes, and long straight dark purple hair in a high pony tail. She wears a low-cut white draping toga with dark long sleeves and hanging waist sashes. There are silvery metal crescent moon shoulder clasps, a thick choker, earrings, bangles, and a thick belt—all adorned with crescent silver moon charms and patterns. Behind her is a dark moody night sky with low clouds and a crescent moon.

Before the Labyrinth, there was Beowulf.

Made in 2018 for Easton Press.
Mixed media on Arches paper.

I was already asking:
Does the hero seek the legend,
or is he called by it?

I still don’t have an answer.
A dark, ornate illustration bordered by intricate copper-toned patterns resembling intertwined vines and mythic figures. At the center, a lone cloaked figure stands on a rocky outcrop beside a still body of water, holding a staff. A faint golden halo encircles their head, casting a soft glow. Across the water, a steep hill rises toward a large, isolated hall or temple, its silhouette sharp against a muted, gold-dusted sky. A pale, full moon hangs behind the structure, partially veiled by drifting textures of black and gold pigment. Small points of warm light flicker along the hillside, suggesting distant fires or dwellings. The overall palette is restrained—charcoal blacks, ash greys, and burnished gold—giving the scene a quiet, ancient, and dreamlike atmosphere. The composition feels still, yet tense, as if the landscape itself is watching the solitary figure. There's an ad on it that says "STOP HIRING HUMANS", above a woman whose face has been replace with the word "AI". Frame 2: The bus comes, it's wrapped in an ad that also says "STOP HIRING HUMANS." The artist has a blank look. Frame 3: A plane has now arrived above the bus and the human. It's carrying an ad banner that also says "STOP HIRING HUMANS".

🇧🇷Arara-canindé
🌎Ara ararauna

Annoyed Barbet 🐡🎨🪶
Watercolor illustration of a Red-and-yellow Barbet, seen at 45°. His head is mostly red and his belly is creamy white. His wing is black with white spots, and a band of this pattern circles his breast. His tail is banded black and white. He's glaring at the viewer, challenging the audacity of any who would dare to look upon him.
