In a difficult year with limited resources, I appreciate @mayor.nyc.gov's honest accounting of our financial obligations and adeptly securing major support from Albany to balance the city’s budget.

I’m pleased this budget has more money for our parks, CUNY, libraries, culturals, & local schools.

At today's Stated Meeting, I'm proud to have worked with my colleagues to pass Int. 580 -- my bill for a new Office of Child Care! I'm proud to work towards a child care system that is both accessible and universal -- through the Office of Child Care, we're one step closer to that goal.

Excellent reporting by @patrickspauster.com. If true, the CityFHEPS housing vouchers deal is a major step forward.

🙏 @cmpisanchez.bsky.social + @nycprogressives.bsky.social for holding the line, and to the many, many orgs (esp. @vocal-ny.bsky.social) for giving this fight force from the outside.
What to know about CityFHEPS deal: who will be newly eligible?

It creates a new program for people at risk of eviction in rent stab housing + other shelter residents not eligible b/c of work requirements or income limits.

The existing CFHEPS program remains the same.
