This was actually probably my favorite announcement of the show. Looks cool. Bloober has been on a streak lately and this gives me “modern version of a DS adventure game” vibes.

Dang, that Nintendo Direct was dire. Almost entirely ports of games already playable on Switch 2 through backwards compatibility or games that have been available on other consoles for years. Really only two new first-party announcements. Rough.

We are two days from it being a full 10 years from the last time we received a new mainline Ace Attorney game. It has been a tumultuous decade and I’m not sure how much longer the world can go without Ace Attorney 7.

Probably none of these will come out but I find how out of touch this is funny. Someone told some geezer in the board room that video game adaptations are getting popular so they went out and got the rights to Atari games from half a century ago.

The Id situation makes no sense. Why wouldn’t they let them go like Compulsion and Double Fine? No offense to either of those studios, but I feel like they would likely actually find a buyer. Now they’re essentially a port studio because DA was played more on Game Pass, which is what MS wanted?

The news of Sony ending support for physical games is unfortunate but the reaction to it has been so overblown in so many ways. Not the people who bring up legitimate concerns surrounding ownership, pricing, and control of the market but the people saying that they’re done gaming if it goes digital.
