I forgot how much fun just plain #deathmatch could be. For no particular reason, launched #hl2dm tonight and found a server with half a dozen real people on it. Had a blast mopping it for the next half hour. Gotta check for life in #hldm and whatever the modern version of #q3a is.

I got my son started on #halflife2, his first single player FPS. A few hours later I felt beaming pride as he shot down the hunter chopper in Water Hazard and he commented, "it's about time."
