In the last 120 years, we have lost over 50 species of native moths, and suspect many others are now at risk of extinction 🔴

This autumn, we're taking on a ‘moth-umental’ task to create the first-ever Red List for Britain’s macro-moths, and we need your help 👉 www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/moths-matter

"RNLI crew members had been forced to take their permits off their cars after their tyres have been repeatedly slashed. Most of them have been pilloried at the school gates or turned away from local pubs. One man who worked in search and rescue had been beaten unconscious and hospitalised"
I have spent weeks shadowing the RNLI and I can tell you, they do it out of nothing more than compassion.

Wrote about the heroes I've met over the years in this free-to-read post.

You know this isn't terrorism.
The authorities know this isn't terrorism.
But, once again, they have labelled protesters "terrorists", as part of the long-running programme to ensure that no one dares protest about anything any more.

It has *always* been true that - in terms of bang-for-buck - smaller dev teams are usually more productive than larger teams. Fred Brooks wrote about this in 1975.

To attribute this to "AI" betrays your lack of understanding of software development fundamentals.

This is the famous Venezuelan Poodle Moth (Artace sp.), a distinctively fluffy, white insect w/ prominent bulbous dark eyes and feathery antennae.

First photographed in 2009 by Arthur Anker in the Gran Sabana region of Venezuela. Its exact taxonomic classification remains debated by entomologists.

Just been told that KAFKA'S APPRAISAL - a film wot I wrote - has been accepted into the San Jose Film Festival.
SJFF is an Oscar-qualifying movie festival - of course we're not gonna win one lol, but it's a high level festival.
The director hasn't got a date yet, but likely to be around 23rd Oct.
