Well, it is finally done: A video going over ballistic missile defenses in a simple language: youtu.be/w3-DAxr1C0U about a year's worth of time/effort spent on it and even longer in terms of research!

Europe and America immediately stood together. NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time. European Allies rallied to defend America.

Hundreds of thousands of European troops served shoulder to shoulder with their US Allies in Afghanistan. Many paid the ultimate price. (2/3)

Twenty-five years ago, the 9/11 terror attacks changed the course of history.

Today, we honour the 2,977 lives lost on September 11. The attacks on the World Trade Centre, the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania shattered lives and fundamentally altered world affairs. (1/3)

as always the problem here is lumping in immoral and unethical with illegal, which I'd argue is actually part of a Huntingtonian two step intended to let GOFOs off the hook
"I have been asked by some retired officers if it is fair to expect a senior military leader to stand up to or refuse to accept an immoral, unethical or illegal order from the president or the secretary of defense... But fairness is irrelevant."

this is a very weird discourse

the strikes weren't a secret, there were videos of shaheds hitting it literally the first day of the war, one of the few places video was getting out from in that early phase
"The USS Abraham Lincoln wasn’t able to be resupplied because the U.S. Navy’s main resupply base in the Gulf of Oman was destroyed by Iranian strikes—a fact that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth chose not to make public, said David Rhode [natsec reporter for MS NOW]"

There's a very straightforward answer to this, which everyone on here is studiously ignoring because they can't pass up a "dem party apparatus bad" story
I get why politicians are being cowards, but this is an open chance for media outlets to do some classic “both sides” accountability reporting and they’re not doing it. They have a censorship angle and plenty of personal stories to chase down of people who got scammed.

the thing that WWII dads mostly don't appreciate is the scale of shit that was going on outside of the commonly known theaters

if you're a knowledgeable WWII dad you probably very high level appreciate the eastern front, but how bout tying up 20% of IJA manpower for the entire war
once again it's basically impossible to wrap your head around the scale of mobilization and the scale of destruction the world wars involved
Keep in mind that a war with a per capita equivalent destructiveness to WWI today would involve something like 90m dead, while a per capita equivalent to WWII would be something like 250m dead.

So things are not good, but they have been much worse. 🤷‍♂️

Ms. Jeffery, I apologize, but honestly, what did you & your fellow colleagues who attended WHCD truly expect from those of us watching you? He gives you nothing but “Quiet, piggy!” & “total exoneration!” & “total victory!”, calls you traitors, etc., yet still attendees show up to break bread w/him.
People here are being really shitty, including at fellow journalists who've been traumatized, and you will regret those posts. Or should.

Also this does not help your political cause, whatever that might be.
