Calendula is blooming. I planted yellow but this one had red in the middle. I'm going to save seeds from it so hopefully next year I get more with the red.

I have one more baby hanging out. Hopefully it makes it. Swallowtails aee one of my favorite butterflies. My dill is looking pretty rough but there are a few sprouts on the bottom of the pot.

Yay my okra bloomed! This is a dwarf variety that I haven't tried growing before. It is so tiny but maybe it'll produce pods before the first frost. If not then it's still a pretty plant.

I ordered 4oz of snap pea seeds and got 4lbs instead. I've been planting peas all season. I harvested my potatoes so now I'm about to have a bed full of peaness.

One thing I've learned from watching the Monarch butterflies in my yard is that the males can be total jerks.
I have a particularly aggressive one in my yard that been trying to fight the hummingbirds and myself the past few days.
I feel bad for the hummingbirds.

I had another cat dumped in my yard...and of course it's a very pregnant mama. She also has an injured tail that she needs to go to the vet for. I'll be doing fundraising for her since animal control here doesn't care about strays/ferals.
