Side note the friendship between Vaclav Havel and Lou Reed is one of my favorite quirks of history. When Havel became president every rockstar wanted a piece (the Stones paid to refurnish the presidential palace!) but the Velvet’s really mattered to the movement and him and Lou became real friends.
