So, I asked ChatGPT a simple math problem: so solve 4 equations in 4 unknowns. Back it came, after a number of computations with what it announced as the solution. It was incorrect.

In this administration any kind of approval process can only have as its purpose extortion and bribery, and nothing else. You thought it was about AI safety? You wanna play, you gotta pay. And we know you got plenty to pay with.

Had this problem with random colorings and suddenly this particular set of colors appeared and the thing hit me like a piece of modern art representing a distorted face, one red eye on the right, blue eye left, dark blue nostrils and a rivulet of fanciful colors running down the face in between.

I don’t know how to use chatgpt etc but I imagine it’s going to a website and typing “oh no what groceries do I buy please tell me false god for I am so weak I cannot go on” as your brain atrophies and leaks out of your ears from disuse and the machine is like “buy eggs milk bread and a horse”

Indiana University Cancels MLK Celebration Dinner
"...the 57th consecutive annual MLK dinner, which was first convened in 1969."
This was on Tuesday, in a letter to the campus from the Chancellor-the dinner is not mentioned until literally the last two lines.

Krugman has a nice post on Venezuelan oil: the accepted level of "reserves" is a sham, and the oil is too heavy to be profitable to refine - oil prices now are too low.

I recall how I used to love seeing Federal buildings, and the Great Seal of the United States near the entrance. My country. The seal, a modest identification, and nothing more is needed, you know what it stands for. The Constitution, justice, order, backed up by unshakeable institutions.

A scene like that would ordinarily be taped off for more than a day.

However, it was cleaned up and abandoned all under two hours.

There could not have been any kind of accurate or even reasonable collection logging and recording of evidence.

Zero chance.

NY Times: "President Trump’s posting of a deepfake video mocking and insulting the top two Democrats in Congress underscored the lack of progress toward any deal to extend funding." Oh, that's how we underscore lack of progress these days? Via racist, ugly, deepfakes? The new NYT standard.

To all the MAGA governors offering up their children to show allegiance to Trump:

Leviticus 18:21: "You shall not give any of your children to offer them to Molech, and so profane the name of your God".

Not that it matters to them of course. Either as Christians or humans.

2) There's a whole generation who've confused political correctness with health and safety legislation.
