I've mentioned it on Tumblr a few times (possibly never on my author blog though?), but I really should write small articles on what I call "Lawrence Syndrome" and "The Winchester Effect" after my own character situations...

It must be either really annoying or really funny to create a Villain Symbol that is explicitly Used By The Bad Guy... and then get associated with that symbol as your branding.
