Correction: There was a mistake in the earlier post with the fall semester hours for Beekman. The Beekman Library is open Sundays 12-8 pm, including Sunday Sept. 6th.

The Declaration of Independence was released July 4 without signatures. Most historians agree that the majority of the signatures were added on August 2, making that the day that all 56 signatories publicly committed treason. On July 4, Congress expressed an idea; on August 2, they bet their lives.

Both of Pace's campuses are in locations rich with Revolutionary War history. In May 1776, the Continental Army held New York City, and Washington commanded and strategized from a mansion, Richmond Hill, that stood approximately where Varick and Charlton intersect today.
