I'm in Scotland. I know patriots have had to leave their homeland throughout history for a variety of reasons. But I don't think I knew until having visited the country even a fraction of what they must have felt at what they were having to give up. How could you ever bear to leave such a place?

Bought a small sketchbook from R Jackson & Sons’ in Liverpool and decided to try and fill it entirely with drawings of Liverpool. Managed to fill half in a day. I’ll go back and fill the second half on my next visit.

I learned that seniors are treated with reverence, all are welcome, air conditioning is unnecessary, drumming and chanting are primal, and dancing is fantastic.
