it is natural that people who did salesman science pre-"crisis" would do salesman metascience post-"crisis"
Discousre on this paper www.nature.com/articles/s41... on the site has convinced me that we desperately need a metascience movement for the metascientists.

There are many MRI approaches for studying myelin. But which ones are reliable, how do they relate to each other, and how do they behave in gray vs white matter?

In our new preprint, we introduce Myelin Imaging Reliability and ReprOducibility Resource (MIRROR) 🧠🪞

Check out this awesome work by @goliashf.bsky.social -- now out in PLOS Biology -- showing that development of intrinsic neural timescale aligns with the cortical hierarchy defined by the S-A axis in multiple datasets.
So excited that our work is now published in PLOS Biology!! 🎉

Check out the final version here: doi.org/10.1371/jour...

And for a bit more context and what we found, here’s our earlier thread: bsky.app/profile/goli...
How do intrinsic timescales, which reflect the temporal window of neural processing, mature during development? This study by @goliashf.bsky.social @ted-satterthwaite.bsky.social &co identifies a hierarchical trajectory, from sensorimotor to association cortices.

Nine months, 200 academic papers. One professor’s AI-assisted output - The Washington Post www.washingtonpost.com/education/20...
Using AI, a professor wrote 200 papers this year. Researchers are alarmed.
An online platform removed 257 papers written or co-written by the University of Chicago’s Nicholas Polson after other academics raised questions.
